Marcos De Colsa
He is a social anthropologist from the National School of Anthropology and History (Mexico), has a master´s degree in Anthropology from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Diversity, Subjectivity and Socialization at UNED (Spain). He has specialized in economic and consumer anthropology. Since 2005 he has developed in the market consulting environment specifically applying anthropological methodologies in understanding consumer and consumer culture for both national and international brands. Starting in 2010, he pioneered the application of tools such as NodeXL in Mexico to understand the virtual communities of consumers around brands. He has recently taken courses on Computational Social Sciences and focuses his interest on digital anthropology as a tool to help solve social problems.
