The latest updates in NodeXL include improved export to GEXF. Now NodeXL has an added “Edge Weight” column for each “Relationship” type in Edges when exporting to GEXF. This allows multiplex data sets in NodeXL to retain different weights for different types of edges when imported into Uniplex network tools like Gephi. This should make the export of data from NodeXL into Gephi much easier.
Other improvements include fixes for the MediaWiki importer (now User to User networks are imported correctly) and modified data columns to facilitate export of NodeXL into the Microsoft Power BI platform smoother.data columns to facilitate export of NodeXL into the Microsoft Power BI platform smoother.
