NodeXL Academy presents the Social Media Research Summer School 2021 from Jul-27-2021 until Aug-03-2021. Join us for 3 class sessions and two one-on-one meetings with our instructors. This intensive week long event connects students, scholars and analysts with the NodeXL Team to learn to collect, analyze, visualize, report and present insights into collections of connections, like social media. Day 1: July 27 - Introduction to social media research, networks and NodeXL Day 2: July 29 - Analyzing and understanding networks: Twitter, YouTube, Wikipedia and more Day 3 : August 3 - 3rd party tool review, student project presentations and discussion Guest speakers: Moses Boudourides Alex Fenton Mathieu Jacomy Alan Shaw Alessandro Bernardi You can sign up for this event via Eventbrite. It is built on the Microsoft Power BI platform and is now available for Students, Academics and Commercial Users. NodeXL Pro INSIGHTS is a Microsoft Power BI report template that creates interactive and shareable network reports from the data in NodeXL Pro Twitter datasets. A NodeXL Pro INSIGHTS report makes use of many different data visualizations - from world maps to simple tables and hashtag clouds, from image grids to scatter plots Power BI is an application that builds on Excel data and SQL databases to deliver interactive data visualization and analysis to the desktop and the web. The Microsoft Power BI Desktop application is free for all users. The Power BI Pro web service can be tested for free for 50 days. After that it has a modest monthly fee (USD $9) for additional features. Many universities and large corporations may already have access to Power BI Pro - check with your IT support!
